Meet Captain Riley Tejcek, U.S. Marine and Olympic Hopeful
The Marine Corps Exchange's Raider the Elf snuck away from the North Pole to visit MCB Quantico Commissary yesterday, 13 September where he met Team USA National Bobsled Pilot and United States Marine, Captain Tejcek! Capt. Tejcek is not only a role-model representing females in a male-dominated field, but she is also a trailblazer as the first female Marine Olympian for the 2026 Olympic Games as a bobsled pilot for Team USA. This won’t be the first medal she has competed for though. She has already won countless medals and awards including Miss Military 2023. Tejcek strives to bring exposure to bobsledding, encourage young athletes (especially female athletes), and promote mental and physical wellness.
We are so thankful to have an individual like Capt. Riley Tejcek within our Marine community. Her sentiment towards the MCX is similar. Tejcek said, “I am grateful and thankful that as military members we have a place to shop and experience high level goods at reasonable prices, [and that the MCX] gives back to the military community.” Don’t forget, Raider will be around your local MCX (with his Leave approved by Santa) this holiday season - get ready!
