Contest Rules: The Ultimate Sig Sauer Giveaway

Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) contests are subject to the following conditions.

PURPOSE: Entry information will be used for Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) contests to determine the winner and award the prize. In addition, information may be used for statistical analyses, advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes.

ROUTINE USES: Information may be disclosed externally to current authorized contractors and vendors to accomplish a function related to this system of records. Complete lists and explanation of applicable Routine Uses are included in the respective SORNs, accessible at https://pclt.defense.gov/DIRECTORATES/Privacy-and-Civil-Liberties-Directorate/Privacy/SORNs/.

DISCLOSURE: Voluntary; however, failure to provide the requested information may delay award notification or result in forfeiture of winner eligibility.

How to Enter: Complete and submit the entry form for The Ultimate Sig Sauer Giveaway. Drawing entries are limited to one per customer per drawing. All entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on the last advertised day of the contest. The MCX is not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, or misdirected online entries. The MCX is also not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions. All entries become the property of the MCX.

Prize: A total of two prizes will be awarded. Each winner will receive only one of the following prizes: (1) a voucher for one Sig Sauer M18 [state model] Marine Corps 250th Anniversary pistol, with an approximate retail value of $1,100, subject to compliance with applicable state firearms restrictions. If the winner’s state of residence does not authorize the listed prize, the winner will instead receive a voucher for a state-compliant Sig Sauer pistol that is not a Marine Corps 250th Anniversary edition; or (2) a voucher for a 2-day Sig Sauer Academy Experience in New Hampshire, with an approximate retail value of $3,000. A certificate will be issued to the winner, and MCCS/MCX will facilitate the initial connection between the winner and Sig Sauer. From that point forward, Sig Sauer will work directly with the winner to coordinate either the Academy Experience or firearm acquisition, depending on the winner’s preference. Sig Sauer will also handle all travel arrangements in direct coordination with the winner. Each winner is eligible to receive only one prize and may not win more than once.

Selection of Winner: Winners will be selected in a random drawing; the frequency of such drawing(s) is provided on the giveaway event flyer. The likelihood of winning is dependent on the number of eligible entries. MCX will contact the winner using the information provided on the entry to award the prize. If a mailing address is required on the entry for delivery of the prize, MCX will use the contact information provided on the entry to confirm prize delivery information.

Conditions: Should the MCX be unable to identify, contact, or verify a winner, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner after 30 days. By accepting the prize, winners agree to release the MCX from any and all liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the prize, traveling to, or participating in, any prize activity. By accepting the prize, winners give the MCX the unqualified right and permission to publish the winner’s name and photo in MCX media as winner of the MCX contest. Prizes are nontransferable and are nonredeemable for cash. MCX contest decisions shall be final and binding in all matters related to the drawing. Winner is solely responsible for any and all costs associated with accepting the firearm prize, including but not limited to costs associated with the FFL transfer fee. If a potential prize winner is unable to accept or receive shipment of a prize due to applicable gun laws in his or her state of residence, they will receive a state compliant Sig Sauer pistol. Otherwise, there is no cash in lieu of prize or substitution of prize. The winner is responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes and is required to sign a memo to document receipt of his/her prize and provide his/her name, SSN, and address for prizes valued over $599.99. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest period.

Eligibility: No purchase is necessary to enter. All authorized MCX limited and unlimited patronage customers 21 years or older (as of the date of entry) who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding, without limitation, Puerto Rico and other US territories) and who currently reside in the US are eligible to participate in this drawing, excluding MCX and Marine Corps Community Services employees, including military personnel assigned to the MCX and Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS); (collectively the “Employees”). Immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in in this sweepstakes. MCX customers authorized food and beverage purchases only are not eligible. Winner is solely responsible for any and all costs associated with taking possession of the firearm prize, including but not limited to FFL transfer fee and background check. The winner will be required to have a valid driver's license or proof of identification and will be required to complete an ATF Form 4473 and pass a NICS background check at his or her local firearms retailer that holds a valid Federal Firearms License. Failure to comply with each of these requirements will result in a forfeiture of the prize . This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Liability: By entering this contest or accepting the prize, all participants release, indemnify and hold harmless MCX, Marine Corps Community Services, the U.S. Marine Corps, and SIG SAUER Inc., its dealers and distributors, and all their respective shareholders, directors, officers and employees, one and all, from and against all actions and liability (including attorney's fees and costs) due to injury, loss or damage to person or property, including death, caused in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from the use, misuse, acceptance, or possession of the prize, or participation in this sweepstakes. Prize winner waives the right (1) to assert as a cost of winning the prize any and all costs of verification and redemption and (2) to any liability claim which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. MCX and Sig Sauer Inc., (i) make no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning any prize; and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. If any provision of this contest shall be deemed to violate any federal, state or municipal law, it shall be amended to conform to such law and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entry Information: The MCX is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information caused by Internet users’ technical or human error or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes, which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. MCX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes drawing for any reason, including should viruses, bugs, or other impediments beyond the MCX control, corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the sweepstakes.
