PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT

AUTHORITY:  10 U.S.C. 1146, 2481, 5013; and 5041; DoDI 1330.09; DoDI 1330.21; MCO 1700.30; and SORNs DoD-0018 and NM04060-1.

PURPOSE:  Entry information will be used for Marine Corps Exchange contests to determine the winner and award the prize.  In addition, information may be used for statistical analyses and advertising purposes.

ROUTINE USES:  Information may be disclosed to current authorized contractors and vendors to accomplish a function related to these systems of records.  Complete lists and explanation of applicable Routine Uses are included in the respective SORNs, accessible at https://pclt.defense.gov/DIRECTORATES/Privacy-and-Civil-Liberties-Directorate/Privacy/SORNs/.

DISCLOSURE:  Voluntary; however, failure to provide the requested information may delay award notification or result in forfeiture of winner eligibility.

Contest Rules

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) and Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) contests are subject to the following conditions.

How to Enter: Complete and submit the entry form for the named MCCS and MCX giveaway event. Drawing entries are limited to one per customer per day. All entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on the last advertised day of the contest. The MCCS nor MCX is not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, or misdirected online entries. The MCCS nor MCX is also not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions. All entries become the property of the MCCS and MCX and information may be shared with Sponsor.

Selection of Winner: Winners will be selected in a random drawing; the frequency of such drawing(s) is provided on the giveaway event flyer. The likelihood of winning is dependent on the number of eligible entries. MCCS and MCX will contact the winner using the information provided on the entry to award the prize. If a mailing address is required on the entry for delivery of the prize, MCCS and MCX will use the contact information provided on the entry to confirm prize delivery information.

Conditions: Should the MCCS and MCX be unable to identify, contact, or verify a winner is an eligible patron, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner after 7 days. By accepting the prize, winners agree to release the MCCS and MCX from any and all liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the prize, traveling to, or participating in, any prize activity. By accepting the prize, winners give the MCCS and MCX the unqualified right and permission to publish the winner’s name and photo in MCCS and MCX media as winner of the MCCS and MCX contest. Prizes are nontransferable and are nonredeemable for cash. MCCS and MCX contest decisions shall be final and binding in all matters related to the drawing. 

Eligibility: No purchase is necessary to enter. All authorized MCCS and MCX limited and unlimited patronage customers 21 years or older (as of the date of entry) are eligible to participate in this drawing, excluding MCX and MCCS employees and military personnel assigned to the MCX and MCCS; (collectively the “Employees”). Immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in in this sweepstakes. This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.  

Entry Information: The MCCS and MCX is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information caused by Internet users’ technical or human error or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes, which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. MCCS and MCX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes drawing for any reason, including should viruses, bugs, or other impediments beyond the MCCS and MCX control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the sweepstakes.

American Forces Travel Terms and Conditions: Cruise vouchers can be used on any sailing bookable through the American Forces Travel (AFT) Cruise program (no black out dates). Sailing must depart by 31 December 2026. Vouchers have no cash value (i.e., if the cruise selected is under $2,500 there will not be a refund to the winner). Similarly, if the cost of the cruise selected by the winner is more than $2,500 then the winner will be responsible for any amount over $2,500. The $2,500 voucher can be used to cover any aspect of the cruise bookings made through AFT (i.e., cruise fare, port charges and taxes, trip protection, airfare if bookable through the cruise line, as well as airport to ship transfers). Any onboard additional expenses such as shore excursions, beverage packages, spa services, etc., will be the responsibility of the winner(s). Additional terms and conditions apply.
